Name: Landon Bryan Farnsworth
Age/Year/House: 16/5th year Ravenclaw
Wand: 14" maple, unicorn hair core
Patronus: Lemur
Boggart: Being isolated
Dating Status: Single
Parents: Annabelle (pureblood) and Zachary Farnsworth (Muggleborn wizard) - parents are divorced and he lives with his father when not at school
Personality:
Landon is generally light hearted and light spirited. He sometimes tries to play a role of mediator if he comes across bickering students by making light of the situation or joking it off. Since he was sorted into Ravenclaw, he is smart - sometimes too clever for his own good. He's sometimes a little louder than he needs to be, but it's all in good fun.
He does have a serious side, but it rarely makes an appearance as he prefers to keep his deeper self hidden from the casual observer.
History:
Landon's parents divorced when he was three years old, citing irreconcilable differences. His mother moved in with her lover, leaving his father to raise him alone. His father did a passable job, though until he was seven, he was raised by a Muggle nanny. After that, when his magic became apparent, Zachary hired a witch to tutor and take care of him while his father worked.
When he was nine, Landon learned to make the best of things in life. He could mope about how miserable his life was (and for a while, it really was), but he deicded that life was what you make of it. A hard lesson to learn so young, but one he took to heart. He started to use humor as a coping mechanism, finding the bright spot in every situation, or finding a way to turn it into a joke.
When he was twelve, he learned that life essentially was one big, cosmic joke. There was no one specific event that triggered the epiphany, but a cumulation of small ones pointed him in that direction. Life was a joke, so why not have fun with it?
Besides, laughter kept the darkness away.
He settled quickly into life at Hogwarts, and he prefers the bustle of school to the decided loneliness of his home life. Now that he's old enough to take care of himself, he doesn't even have a nanny to converse with. His father works (and Landon is pretty sure his father is seeing someone else, though they haven't discussed it) and is rarely home anyway. When he is, he's always 'busy'.
Landon doesn't mind. He copes with the summers by envisioning the upcoming school years, and he gets by.
